T.L was born June 19,1966 on a Sunday evening to Luis & Margie Moore. Her grandparents, H.J. & Betty Lou Hunt who helped raise her
were like a second set of parents to her. Her younger siblings are: Hilton (Bubba) Moore & Tammy Foley.
T.L has loved writing most of her life and even as a child she remembers sitting in her bedroom for hours writing poems and
short stories. When she was in her mid-teens she started having major panic attacks, which started to control her life.
Writing was her way to escape from the loneliness of being a prisoner within her own self. She poured herself into her writing
which came from her heart and her very soul.
Life was hard on the young T.L. and it was only because of her love and faith in God she is the woman she is today. Her panic
attacks came out of the blue and she believes it was because of the abuse she suffered as a child. At the tender age of five
she was molested by a man, then after that there was another man involved. This continued off and on until she was nine
years old. She remembers about the time it stopped happening to her; it was when she got baptized and then she knew it was
wrong! She didn’t tell either her parents or her grandparents what had happened to her until she was grown. She made the big
mistake as many children do in keeping a secret. She was always a peace keeper even as child, even if it meant keeping it
locked up inside of her and letting it eat her up like a virus. She also experienced abuse in other forms, that she, an
innocent child didn’t reveal to a single soul.
T.L. gives the Lord Jesus Christ the credit for turning what happened to her as a child around. She feels that each of those
storms she survived made her stronger, wiser and more determined to help the children. Through her children’s book series,
“Ed on my shoulder”, she prays she can help a child that is suffering. Each book of the series will cover a different subject
to let a child know how much Jesus loves them and that they are not alone. Some of the issues covered are: Abuse, cancer,
being bullied, being severely burned, loneliness, illness, death of a loved one, divorce, fire, storms, and sexual abuse.
She wants to give a child who is being abused the courage to stand up and to tell someone! No child should ever be hurt at the
hands of anyone ever! Children are angels here on earth that God gave us to love, teach and to protect.
It has been a rough road for T.L. with her books for over four years now. She has been told to stop writing Christian books
because they do not sell; she’s been told to remove the name of Jesus from her books; she has been told to just bend a little
and to write other kinds of books; she also was told she doesn’t have what it takes to become a known author. She believes
everyone has a right to their opinion and their beliefs, but she is not going to bend or change at all. She is keeping her eyes
upon God and moving forward for his glory. It is all about Jesus and the children and she is just getting started. No one is
going to take her dreams, her goals, nor her faith away from her. She often says, “step out on the water. Nothing is ever gained
by staying upon the shore.”
T.L. donates 10% of what she makes off the first book of the series to, M.D. Anderson’s Children’s Cancer Center in, Houston,
Texas. She also gives to a children’s home located in Texas. A little girl named Christi Thomas, who had cancer a few years
ago changed this author’s pathway in so many ways. Christi went to be with Jesus a little over a year ago, but this angel is
one of the reasons T.L. works as hard as she does.
Some of the things and people that interest T.L. are: Writing, collecting dolls, angels, reading other author’s books, Kirk
Cameron, Joyce Meyer, Casting Crowns, Third Day, Big Daddy Weave, Dolly Parton, I love Lucy, Decemberadio, Jesse Deplantis,
HG TV, Natalie Grant, Elvis, etc
T.L. doesn’t know how much of a difference she can make for Jesus, but in her little way she hopes she can share his love with
the world one typed word at a time.
She lives in Pasadena, Texas with her husband, children and many pets
